Festival of Wreaths – Another Great Success!

DSCN0375A big THANK YOU to all who joined in on Saturday, November 2nd at Cheney Library’s second annual Festival of Wreaths. Again, the event took place in  the Church of Immaculate Conception and we are very grateful for the use of their Parish Hall.

Auctioneer Ron Seifert, together with Peggie Neville did a terrific job presenting the wreaths.

About 80 people attended and all 44 wreaths were auctioned off and food and refreshments made for a wonderful evening. The proceeds will be used to renovate the basement of the Cheney Library to make it a children’s reading and play area.

The Cheney Library is thankful for all the hard work its volunteers provided and for the support of everyone who attended – we are a big step closer to start the basement’s renovation project.DSCN0376

Thank you, Martha!

Martha Raleigh Winsten visited our Library  and what a wonderful time we had! Martha sang  songs she composed, read and autographed her lovely children’s book  Awesome Elijah and showed how to draw animals. She gave great tips on how to get going with a drawing.

Thank you, Martha, and thank you all who came and participated. Now, don’t forget to come and check out this great new book in our Library’s collection!
