Following great consideration, as well as conversation among our trustees, it has been decided that the most responsible course of action is to close Cheney Library until March 24, 2020. On March 24, we will reevaluate and make further decision.
We understand that disruption of service is inconvenient, and deeply appreciate your patience and support during this evolving situation. We will continue to provide updates via email and on our website, www.cheneylibrary.org.
What you should know:
- Our WiFi will remain active and will be accessible 24/7 from our parking area.
- We are a fine-free library, and will waive all late fees that occur as a result of our closure.
- Please do not call the library to renew books. The phones will not be monitored for those purposes at this time.
- We are not accepting book donations at this time. Please do not leave donations in the book drop or outside the library building.
- Many Upper Hudson libraries have made the decision to close. Please see this document for up-to-date information regarding closures.
- Downloadable eBooks, magazines, and audiobooks are available through OverDrive.
We thank you again for your understanding as we strive to protect the health and wellbeing of our patrons, staff, and community. If you have any questions or concerns please email Library Director Sara Yetto at [email protected].
