Come to the Cheney Library during the week of June 26th and register. It is free and you receive bookmark and materials to keep track of your reading. Get a prize for signing up!
Students in K-3 use time sheets and book logs provided.
Students 4-8 track progress on sheet provided. Each circle equals 20 points. Mark a circle for 20 minutes of reading or a secret code earned by attending a library program. Visit the library when you reach 500 and 1,000 points to collect your prizes. Redeem prizes by August 23rd.

June 27 – Cave Paintings or the first drawings.
July 11 – Sewing Stories – Making a picture quilt.
July 18 – Inventions – Who invented the Slinky.
July 25 – Skidmore College’s TANG – Create 3-D sculptural collage.
August 1 – Pond Circle – Trout are made of trees.
August 8 – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – Make a recycle craft.
August 15 – Bridges – Try building a bridge from Legos.
August 22 – Party – with some thaumatropes and walking water.
Students entering grades 4-8

July 12 – Board Game Night- New and old favorites from Scrabble to Apples.
July 19- Bad Art Night – Create something awesomely bad.
July 26 – Minute to Win It – Compete in wacky and wild challenges.
August 2 – Snack Attack – Taste a variety of snacks from fruit to chips to popcorn.
August 9 – Edible Architecture – Build your own delicious version of a famous landmark.
August 16 – Cupcake Wars – Compete to make the tastiest treat.
August 23 – Ice Cream Party – Celebrate your achievements.
