Flex your creative muscles and create art featuring our library! Whether you enjoy working with pencil, markers, paint, digital media, or any other medium, we welcome your submissions. The contest will begin on April 1, 2026 and all art must be submitted by June 1, 2026. Winners will be announced and notified by June 15, 2026.
A.I. cannot be used in the creation of art submissions!
Judges will assess art based on the following criteria:
- Originality and Creativity
- Technical Skill
- Execution of Theme
Awards are given in each of the following age categories:
- 6-10: $50 gift card of your choice
- 11-14: $50 gift card of your choice
- 15-18: $50 gift card of your choice
- 19+: $100 gift card of your choice
We are also holding a coloring contest for our littlest artists (5 and under)! Download our Cheney Library coloring page and bring it to life with whatever colors you wish! Submissions will be judged based on originality and creativity.

To submit your work:
Take a picture of your art and email it to [email protected]. Please include the artist’s name and age in the body of the email.
Coloring pages must be submitted in person at the library. Please write artist’s name and age on the back of the coloring sheet.
