Children and Teen Programming
Story Time
Join us at the library for stories, rhymes, and fun! This program is geared toward children ages 2 through Pre-K, but all are welcome. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thrusdays at 10 A.M.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Cheney Library’s 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a fun, exciting, and free way to start your child on the path to success! Any child ages birth through five years can participate. Visit the library for more information, and to pick up your 1000 Books packet
500 Books Before Middle School
Cheney Library’s 500 Books Before Middle School program picks up where the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten leaves off. Registration begins as soon as they hit Kindergarten or before they hit 6th grade. Every 50 books gets a free book. Read all 500 and receive a $25 gift card to Battenkill Books! Come to the library to sign up and pick up a welcome packet. You’ll soon be ready for all middle school has to offer by taking up the challenge!
Summer Reading Program
Join us every summer for our Summer Reading Program. This year’s program, “Unearth a Story,” starts July 9th!
